First and foremost, watch good t.v. (you know, 30 Rock and The Office).
After that, however, it’s time to KARAOKE! (Imagine the Asian guy from Iron Chef saying it like the WWE guy that says “Are you ready to rumble?” )
So, last Thursday, Sarah and I headed to Comedy Sportz in P-Town for Big Shot Karaoke. I wasn’t really sure what it would be like. You know, a bunch of non-drunk people singing karaoke. But, I have to tell you, it was seriously hilarious. There is a host and there are backup dancers, should you require them. And it was such a diverse crowd. My favorite act: an older Argentinian man singing a little Julio Iglesias (for those of you who don’t know who that is, he’s Enrique’s dad). It was AMAZING!!! Oh, and did I mention that there are judges? In character? It’s like having being part of a live version of Nintendo’s Karaoke Revolution Party.
Anyway, if you’re looking for something to do tonight, that’s where I’ll be. It starts at 9 p.m. P-town time. So, if you are stalking me, that’s where I’ll be. And if you are just looking for something a little different and super fun to do, that’s where you should be.
Sounds like a party! What did you sing?
karaoke revolution?! i’m so out of touch. someday i would love to make a fool of myself on stage. 🙂
I LOVE KARAOKE REVOLUTION, what a fantasy, seriously. If I was in Provo, I would be all over that. Unfortunately, I’ll have to go with the other good Thursday night alternative and lay on the couch in a comatose state watching really good television for 2 hours tonight.
real life karaoke revolution?!?!?that sounds like my ultimate dream come true.
Chloe, you know I want to do this. If only I weren’t 800 miles away.
