is that the end?

  1. I am grateful for how easy it has been to see the positive in all things this month…even my crappy interview.
  2. I am grateful for forgiveness and its healing power.
  3. I am grateful for the rain…even if it is December tomorrow and should really be snowing in Utah.

I hope you all had a month of grateful thoughts, and enjoy the holiday season.

My plea is that we stop seeking out the storms and enjoy more fully the sunlight. I am suggesting that as we go through life, we ‘accentuate the positive.’ I am asking that we look a little deeper for the good, that we still our voices of insult and sarcasm, that we more generously compliment and endorse virtue and effort.

I don’t want a childhood. I want to be a ballet dancer.

  1. I am grateful for blogging and all of the wonderful people I have “met” and met through it.
  2. I am grateful for 5k’s, especially ones where I get to where a tutu.
  3. I am grateful for new running friends who motivate me.

If gratitude is due from children to their earthly parents, how much more is the gratitude of the great family of man due to our Father in heaven!

  1. I am grateful that the airport was so not busy tonight. It was heavenly.
  2. I am grateful that tonight was my first time in First Class. You should never knock something until you’ve experienced it. It was fabulous! I might be persuaded, if ever rich enough, to do it again…especially on long flights.
  3. I am grateful for satin p.j.’s, warm socks, a down comforter and a heavy quilt. My little studio was 45 degrees when I got home last night (I have no central heat…just a little space heater) but those things made it possible for me to fall asleep. A good thing considering it the temperature was only at 65 this morning, even though the heater was on all night.

In ordinary life we hardly realize that we receive a great deal more than we give, and that it is only with gratitude that life becomes rich.
